YIKES!

Madax got stung by a bee yesterday. These pictures cannot even show just how bad his little lip was swollen. He looked like a totally different person. It was heart-breaking!

The New Nursery!

Finally, we can have the baby!

(Yes, I know... not so pretty... the chair is going to be covered)

Madax Loves the New Room!

Madax loves the new room! He loved helping and watching us paint and fix everything up. It also wore him out! Here he is, passed out on the floor in the corner of his room!
We changed his bed from a crib to a "big boy bed". He sleeps curled up like a little cat now (when he's not passed out on the floor, of course!)

More shots of the nursery...

I am Still Alive!

No.... I have not dropped off the face of the planet. Might seem so.... but this last month has just been crazy busy! We figured we'd better get all our traveling in before the baby got here, cause we won't be going anywhere for a while after that. Then, in November, Madax turns two and we will have to pay for his airline tickets. Needless to say, the Daniels Company is not going to be leaving Colorado Springs for quite a while.

So, you might ask what in the world we've been doing?

Cabin Trip: Well, we started off the month of June with a trip to my parents' cabin in Idaho with Michael's Mother and Brother. You've seen the photos of that.

Lake Tahoe: After a brief stop here in Colorado Springs, we took a trip to Lake Tahoe with the May family to run a 70-mile race around Lake Tahoe. I was, of course, kicked out of the race, due to obvious reasons. But Mike was part of a 7-man team to run around the lake. Each person had a 10-mile leg to run. It was hot, it was steep, it was grueling for everyone involved (except for Randi, who ran the longest leg, 12.5 miles, in the heat of the day... she's a robot in case you didn't know). I will post pictures as soon as I get them.

Lacey's Wedding: We came home again for a brief stint, before returning to Twin Falls, Idaho for Lacey Van Engelen's wedding, which was beautiful and perfect. I will also post pictures of this soon... so stay tuned for that.

Randi Visited Us: Baby is due in about 5-6 weeks. Randi came this last weekend to help me make something of the room we have been calling the nursery. The bedding is in Idaho being made by Grandma May, so bear with me... (there are no drapes or bedding, and the chair still needs to be recovered)

Now we are back in Colorado Springs for good. I will post pictures of the new nursery tonight... so keep in touch!
